OCC was founded in 2005 by Ted Hughes to support Austin business with comprehensive and diligent IT consulting, maintenance, and remediation services. Ted, an EE, got his bachelors of engineering from Vanderbilt University, with a focus on VLSI. Starting a software business in college, Ted created a software alarm clock that utilized the fast growing digital music space. After University, he worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology developing tools and systems for use in semiconductor research. With an interest in systems engineering, IT security, and organizational development Ted moved to Austin, TX to start OCC.
OCC has three main foci: Consulting, Administration, and Support. Consulting consists of compliance auditing, organizational structure, IT security, and growth planning. The focus of Administration pertains to network infrastructure, directory structure, and data management. Lastly Support consists of enthusiastic and steady client engagement to provide quick remediation, thorough insight, and ownership of responsibility.
Our clients: Ranging from 15 to 500 employee firms, in many verticals such as Technology, Medical, and Legal. While clients have offices worldwide, Austin is home base. OCC has a variety of engagement vehicles from full management, IT department oversight, and desktop support. Offering 8x5, 8x5 + emergency afterhours, and 24/7 support, OCC is uniquely suited for many business needs.
